Feature Suggestion - QOL and Transport

We need a better early transportation. The elytra is end game but pretty much not needed by then. For scaling, why not a hot air balloon? Tons of mods add them so there's a demand and as long as it's slower than a ghast and needs coal to run then it fits the balancing scale.

For QOL, the villagers still need work. Between kids wiping out villages as SOP nuking any chance of trading and in general no other purpose for them. We should have a quest system by now. The cartographer helps for goals but the rewards don't fit. A mayor to give a series of quests to progress in the game would help a ton.
