Change “Català (Valencià) (País Valencià)” to “Valencià”

Minecraft currently lists Valencian in its language selector as “Català (Valencià) (País Valencià)”. I would like to request that this be changed to simply “Valencià”.

The Statute of Autonomy of the Valencian Community officially identifies the own language of the Valencian Community as Valencian (“valencià”), and establishes it as an official language alongside Spanish.

The current name unnecessarily places “Català” before “Valencià” and uses “País Valencià” as the geographical designation. The official name of the autonomous community is “Comunitat Valenciana”, so “País Valencià” is not an appropriate neutral geographical identifier for a language-selection menu and can be perceived by Valencian users as a political or ideological designation.

Minecraft does not need to take a position on the broader academic debate about the relationship between Valencian and Catalan. It can simply use the official name by which the language is identified in the Valencian Community.

Therefore, please change:

“Català (Valencià) (País Valencià)”

to:

“Valencià”

This would be clearer, more neutral, and more respectful of the official linguistic terminology used in the Valencian Community.
