I have an idea for a new Minecraft toy called Minecraft Life-Size Magnetic Building Blocks. The blocks would be about 2 feet × 2 feet × 2 feet, allowing kids and adults to build real Minecraft structures.
The blocks would look like real Minecraft blocks, with textures like grass, dirt, stone, wood, and bricks. They would have a lightweight foam, plastic, or honeycomb-style interior so they are sturdy but easy enough to move.
The most important feature would be magnets safely hidden inside the edges. When two blocks are placed together, the magnets would connect them. The outside would have a durable Minecraft-style covering that fits tightly around the block without stopping the magnets from working.
Players could build houses, castles, towers, walls, forts, mines, rooms, and anything else they can imagine. They could take their creations apart and rebuild them into something completely different.
The coolest part would be being able to build a Minecraft house inside your real house and actually walk around inside it!
The blocks could come in 4, 8, 16, 32, and 64-block sets. Larger sets could be divided into multiple shipping boxes because the blocks are so large.
My goal would be to make them as affordable as possible, with a target of around $1 per block, although the final price would depend on manufacturing, materials, magnets, packaging, shipping, and licensing.
You don't just play Minecraft. You build Minecraft.
