I have several ideas for improving horses in Minecraft:

1. Horse breeds
Add different horse breeds with unique gameplay traits: some could be faster, others jump higher or move better through water. Breeds could also have slightly different appearances, such as manes, size or textures. Naturally spawning herds could always consist of the same breed, making rare breeds exciting to discover and collect.

2. Better breeding and inheritance
Horse stats should depend mainly on the parents instead of being mostly random. This would let players selectively breed horses and try to create the best ones. There could still be some variation, so breeding the same horses would not always produce identical offspring. This could also make horse racing a fun activity for players.

3. More dynamic riding
Improve horse animations and make riding feel more immersive. At high speeds, the camera could move slightly, while the player's riding posture could change depending on the speed. For example, the player could lean forward and lower their body when riding quickly.

4. Banners on horses
Allow banners to be attached directly to horses, either behind them or hanging from their sides. This could create a look similar to the banners and wings used by historical Polish hussars.

It would also be interesting if horse stats were not shown as exact numbers. Players could build their own test tracks to compare speed, jumping and swimming ability. This would give horse breeding and racing more depth while keeping the mechanics natural and rewarding.
