I suggest adding a secure feature that allows players to merge two of their own Microsoft accounts or transfer their existing Minecraft content from one account to another.
Many players have used different Microsoft accounts over the years. Some may have an old account with years of Minecraft Bedrock purchases, while their newer main account contains their other Xbox games and services.
Players should be able to permanently transfer their Minecraft content that they already own, including:
-
Marketplace skins and skin packs
-
Character Creator items
-
Emotes
-
Previously obtained Capes
-
Other Marketplace content
-
Minecoins, if technically possible
This should NOT allow players to duplicate or freely share purchases. To prevent abuse, Microsoft could require verification of both accounts and allow the transfer only once between accounts belonging to the same person. Afterward, the content could be permanently moved to the main account and removed from the old account.
For example, someone may have collected rare skins, emotes, Character Creator items and capes for years on an old Bedrock account, but now use another Microsoft account as their main account. They should not have to maintain two accounts forever or lose access to their collection.
A secure one-time account merge or content-transfer system would be extremely useful for long-time Minecraft players.
