Playing together

Me and my brother have played on a world for 4 years now, due to the recent age restrictions now we cannot join together, as Minecraft itself pits it playing with friends is more fun, so why would you remove this feature behind age verification, get rid of chat fine, get rid of servers fine, but atleast allow you to play with family and friends otherwise the game just isn’t the same. What is he point of doing this if it will make the game less fun for atleast two thirds of players. Please see sense and allow you to play with a friend or family member.
