Minecraft Bedrock should restore Custom 3D Player Models for everyone while introducing a fair hitbox system that properly covers the approved 3D character model.
One of the biggest problems today is the difference between some 3D DLC character models and their gameplay hitboxes. A character can look much larger, smaller, or differently shaped while still using a standard player hitbox. This can make PvP confusing and potentially unfair.
Instead of removing custom 3D models, Minecraft should fix the underlying hitbox system.
The hitbox should automatically match the character's entire approved 3D model, using multiple hit regions when necessary. Players should never be able to manually edit their gameplay hitbox.
Minecraft and the server should control and validate hitboxes. Size, transparency, geometry, file size, and animation limits should prevent abuse. Competitive PvP servers could also require standardized hitboxes.
This would allow both official DLC characters and community-created 3D characters to follow clear and consistent gameplay rules.
Bring back Custom 3D Player Models. Make the hitbox match the entire approved model. Keep multiplayer fair.
