Hi Mojang Team,
I love building custom villages in Bedrock Edition, but the current Villager AI often struggles to adapt to player-made structures, multi-floor buildings, and custom terrain.
The Problem in Bedrock:
Villagers frequently get stuck on custom paths, stairs, slabs, or near fences/trapdoors.
Bed and job-site linking is often unreliable through walls or across vertical distances, leading to villagers clustering or getting stuck outside at night.
Villager navigation in complex player builds often breaks their daily routine.
Suggested Improvements for Bedrock:
Improved Pathfinding: Better navigation around non-full blocks (slabs, stairs, trapdoors) and multi-level custom buildings.
Smarter Workstation & Bed Linking: Ensure villagers only link to beds and workstations they can actually pathfind to, preventing unreachable links.
Dynamic Village Perimeter: Help villagers recognize custom walls and fences so they stay safely inside player-built borders
A quality-of-life update for Bedrock Villager AI would make custom village building so much smoother and more enjoyable!
Thanks for all your hard work!
