Over time, the game's animation style has changed pretty significantly. Just compare a zombie's walk to the absolute swagger of a frog's, and you'll see what I mean. There's another weird inconsistency with baby mobs. The originals have big heads and little bodies, while the newer ones are mostly just scaled-down versions of the adults. Both of these things should be made consistent across the board, but it's kind of a tough call to make. Nostalgia makes it hard to say that all the old stuff should be made more fluid, but at the same time, the new stuff looks too good for everything to be made stiff again. I think there should be an option in settings for players to choose whether they want all mobs to have old or new-style animations, and maybe a similar one for baby animals (but who doesn't want to see tiny turtles with giant heads?).
