I do not believe vibrant visuals is healthy for minecraft, I believe minecraft relies on it's lighting to convey information to players. By making a secondary fake lighting system for vibrant visuals you are removing the ability to accurately convey light levels without the debug screen (which for all regular gameplay isn't a "feature" but a dev tool.) on top of gameplay reasons i believe adding the second layer of visuals is confusing for the visual identity of minecraft, not to mention that block textures already behave differently in vibrant visuals than the norm like sculk glowing in the dark making the deep dark look like a spotted mess despite wanting to be DARK. Deserts are too yellow, deep darks aren't dark, the light is to bright and washes out block color, and the shadows are weirdly blue rather than an actually dark. the slight darker sides off blocks is removed making the terrain look flat and and mobs look like they're photoshoped in due to not having any lighting on the sides of there models. I think it's called face dimming.
in my opinion minecraft has always been a weird beautiful and i think this push makes it... generic, losing charm. i don't think anyone came to minecraft for realism... and i think there's a line to be wary of.
I don't see it getting removed because mojang don't typically go back on big changes like this... but i hope it gets better before becoming minecrafts default look.
