I suggest reworking the current game drop system. Minecraft could have two major updates each year, with around six months of development for each one. For example, 27.1 would be developed during the first six months of the year, while 27.2 would be developed during the next six months. This would keep content coming regularly while giving developers more time to create larger and higher-quality updates instead of having one major update per year or a very short development cycle for smaller game drops. Minecraft Live could take place twice a year, with each event focusing on one of the two upcoming updates. Snapshots should continue during development to keep players informed, maintain interest, and let the community test new features and provide feedback. For example, around 15 snapshots could be released during six months of development, with roughly 3 per month, although there could be more. This system would give developers more time to work on each update and create more content while still providing regular news, snapshots, and two major updates every year. It could combine the advantages of the current game drop system with the scale of the major updates from the past.
