Treasure Hunt Suggested Server - Must pay to not get stuck

On level 7 you get stuck until you interact with the "ability store" which only counts an interaction once you buy a product.  It has a free option when you first play but if you "prestige" there are no free options and you have to pay $10 - 15 to continue playing.  No going back no going forward, must pay if you want to leave the small square.  Is this the type of server Mojang is really promoting?
