There should definitely be an easier way to view the status of Minecraft servers. For example where you can see the status of the session, skin etc server. This could also simplify the communication with the players a lot, because you can see again and again on Twitter how confused the users are. Also I would not look first on Twitter when something is down. You could use a subdomain for this like status...
