The copper golem is currently underwhelming as merely a utility mob, and villages are too vulnerable. I suggest adding combat capability to copper golems, turning them into mass‑produced rapid‑response support units to achieve fast reserve‑force deployment when villages enter a war state.
Addition: Players may give any weapon to a copper golem. After being equipped with a weapon, the copper golem enters weapon‑wielding mode. Weapon‑wielding mode maintains permanent combat status and is independent of raid events.
It will bind to and follow the nearest iron golem within a 10×7×10 (length × height × width) volume for coordinated combat. It can only revert to utility state when the player removes its weapon.
The copper golem receives all weapon attribute bonuses and enchantments, except Trident Riptide; spears perform stabs only; mace drop‑smash is disabled; tridents can only be used in melee.
Weapons consume durability normally. When its weapon breaks, the copper golem fights unarmed, dealing 3 damage with knock‑back effect. Equipped items drop upon the copper golem’s death.
Weapons picked up by the copper golem itself from chests will not trigger weapon‑wielding mode.
If its bound iron golem dies, the copper golem keeps checking for other iron golems within the 10×7×10 volume. If none are found, it finishes fighting existing hostile targets first, then searches for new iron‑golem targets.
