The tuff golem is a low‑base‑stat, high‑ceiling melee golem, a weaker counterpart to the iron golem with great equipment‑based potential. Hitbox: 0.6 × 1.95 × 0.6 blocks. Health: 32 points. Base melee damage: 5 physical points. It swings without knock‑back, attacks every 1.1 seconds, detection range 16 blocks. Drops: 4 XP, 50% chance for 1 tuff block.
It sinks in water, has 55% knock‑back resistance versus attacks and explosions, immune to drowning and fall damage, but can be pushed by water currents. Model cracks show at ≤20 health, deepen at ≤10 health.
Naturally spawns one‑max per snowy plains / snowy taiga village, no native gear, defends villagers. Manual summon: stack two tuff blocks, place tuff slabs on both sides of upper block for T‑frame, add carved pumpkin or jack‑o'‑lantern on top. Player‑built golems protect villagers and do not retaliate against summoner’s damage.
Gear can be applied by right‑click or dispensers. All enchantments including curses work, except Trident Riptide and Mace Wind‑Burst. It cannot do mace drop‑smash, only stabs with spear without dash. Swords and axes work normally. Shields only fit on its back, fully blocking rear melee and projectile physical damage; magic and explosion damage still hit. It cannot actively block.
Gear consumes durability and breaks at zero durability. Sneak‑empty‑hand right‑click recovers gear. All surviving gear drops on death. It works with leads. Each tuff‑slab right‑click restores 15 health points
