One of the biggest hurdles to bringing full Java-style offhand parity to Minecraft Bedrock Edition (especially Pocket Edition) is screen real estate on mobile devices. Adding a dedicated HUD button can feel clunky and crowd the screen.I propose a dynamic, context-aware "Left/Right Screen Split" control scheme that allows full dual-wielding without adding any new buttons:Empty Offhand (Classic Mode): If the offhand is empty, the game functions exactly as it does now. There is no change for the player, ensuring a zero learning curve.Main Hand Empty / Offhand Full: If the player places an item in their offhand but keeps the main hand empty, the offhand item functions normally as if it were in the main hand. Both Hands Full (Split Mode): When both hands hold items, the touch inputs split down the center of the screen based on visual hand placement:Tap/Hold Right Side of Screen: Activates the item in the Right (Main) Hand (e.g., swinging a sword).Tap/Hold Left Side of Screen: Activates the item in the Left (Offhand) (e.g., placing a torch or eating food). Why this works:Mirrors Physical Controls: It perfectly replicates mouse clicks (Left Click/Right Click) and controller triggers (LT/RT) using physical space on the screen.Keeps the HUD Clean: It completely eliminates the need for a dedicated "Offhand Action" button on the screen.Resolves Action Conflicts: It lets the player decide exactly which item takes priority simply by choosing where they tap on their screen.
