With Abandoned Camps being added to the Overworld in the third drop of 2026, I think the same idea could be expanded into the Nether.
Nether camps could be old Piglin expedition camps that were abandoned long ago. Their design could make it look like Piglins once stopped there while traveling through the Nether, with leftover supplies, worn-down decorations, extinguished campfires, and other small details that tell that story without directly explaining it.
Like the new Overworld Abandoned Camps, their chests could have a chance to contain Explorer Maps. In the Nether, these maps could lead to either a Bastion Remnant or a Nether Fortress. The maps should not be guaranteed, so players would still need to explore and finding one would feel valuable.
Different Nether biomes could also have slightly different camp variants using materials from the surrounding biome.
This would expand the new Abandoned Camp and Explorer Map system into the Nether, give players another way to locate major Nether structures, and make the dimension feel more lived-in and connected to the Piglins.
