Dear Microsoft Education Support Team,
I am writing to you as the principal of a primary school, reaching out to share my initiative we have launched for our students. We have established a school-internal Minecraft server as part of our pedagogical after-school program, and I would love to share our vision with you—and inquire about any resources, best practices, or guidance Microsoft offers for such custom-hosted school projects.
Most parents have neither the time nor the ability to fully understand, what their child is doing in the internet. Therefore we want to help and assist the parents and build a safe space for our primary students. We build a school internal Minecraft-Server.
In this year we (mainly i) want to start a after-school program, kind of like a „Minecraft-Lesson“, aiming on building communicational and democratic skills.
I hope, that by that i can offer our young students a safe server, not just as a digital playground; more as a digital miniature society.
Since we manage this server independently to serve our school community, we would greatly appreciate any insights, official documentation, or advice you might share regarding how Microsoft supports schools utilizing Minecraft environments for civic and social education.
I would love to speak to or write with someone of youre Microsoft / Minecraft support or team in general. I have a lot of questions and would love to get some help.
Thank you very much for your time.
Sincerely,
Ruben Gehart
