Tool recycling

If you are late game or like mid game and you have mending, and you have a bunch of old tools that are on low health that you don’t use anymore, you could put these old tools in a blast furnace, and have the blast furnace smelt the tools into scraps and you get scrap diamond scrap, iron or scrap gold and for every 10 scraps, you get a gut so with this it stops tools from going to waste so you could just recycle a bunch of your old unused tools so you could build something or use something with the scraps or the guts I really like this idea but I don’t know if other people would like it so I hope people see this and like my idea
