Minecraft Account for switch sucks

Why am I paying for a Nintendo Switch membership when I can't use the Minecraft bedrock to connect to java worlds? Annoying esp when I set up an entire Geyser instance just to connect to my friend's java world. Please add compatibility between java and bedrock for real.
