In Java Edition, thrown ender pearls can keep the chunk they are in loaded while the pearl is active. Bedrock Edition should have the same behavior.
Making ender pearls load chunks would allow players to create useful systems such as long-distance transportation, farms, and redstone machines that can continue operating while the player is away.
Proposed change:
- Active thrown ender pearls keep their current chunk loaded, similar to Java Edition.
- The chunk stops being kept loaded when the ender pearl disappears, lands, or teleports the player.
- This behavior should work consistently in survival and multiplayer.
This would improve parity between Java and Bedrock and give Bedrock players more technical-building possibilities without adding a completely new mechanic.
