I suggest adding a real-time friend notification system to Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
When a Microsoft/Xbox friend comes online and is playing in a multiplayer-enabled world that I can join, Minecraft could send a system notification such as:
“Steve VM is now online! Your friend is playing Minecraft.”
The notification could have three options: Dismiss, Later, and Join Now.
Join Now would open Minecraft and take the player directly to the friend's joinable world.
Later would dismiss the notification for now while keeping it available in Minecraft's notification center.
Dismiss would remove the notification.
The notification should only appear when the friend's world is actually joinable. Players should also be able to enable or disable these notifications in Minecraft's notification settings.
The same notification should appear in Minecraft's notification center, so players can check it later if they missed the system notification.
This would make Minecraft's notification system more useful and would save players from constantly checking their friends list to see who is online. It would be especially useful for Bedrock Edition because players can play together across different devices and platforms.
