I think Minecraft should add Koi Fish as a new peaceful aquatic mob!
Koi would naturally spawn in Koi Ponds, which could generate in or near Cherry Grove biome, or they could be built by players. They would also fit perfectly into Japanese-style gardens and builds. And Cherry Grove Biomes never got any new mobs. Koi Fish would be a great addition for the Cherry Grove biome.
They would also spawn in many color variations. Regular ones would be colored a white body with red-orange spots and tinier black spots too. Some others would be gray with yellow spots, and another would be a red-orange body with black spots. Then the rarest variation would be the Golden Koi, which would be mostly yellow with an orange head. Koi Fish would be slightly bigger than tropical fish, and they'd circle around their Koi Ponds.
Koi Ponds would have mossy cobblestone, a few lily pads, and some seagrass. They'd spawn under shady areas underneath cherry blossom trees, and can also have bushes, maybe adding Pink Bushes to spawn in the Cherry Groves! There'd also be bamboo, stones, and moss.
Koi Fish can also be bred with seagrass, and the baby would have a chance in inheriting the colors and patterns of its parents.
Koi Fish would make the Cherry Groves feel a lot neater, make Japanese builds cooler, and add more variety.
