Replace HUD locator bar with 10-droplet Hydration and revised Hunger engine driven by biome temperatures to fit Mojang philosophy.
MECHANICS:
- Temperature: Screen vignettes track local weather. Cold biomes trigger frosty borders; hot biomes emit heat shaders, multiplying survival decay curves.
- Hydration: Decays via movement, depleting 2x faster in Deserts and 3x in Nether. Empty bar triggers a 10-minute (half-day) buffer, causing escalating Stagger (0.015-s Slowness ticks to break sprint-combos), Mining Fatigue, and visual blur before half-heart damage ticks apply.
- Starvation: Reaching 0 shanks triggers a hidden 40-minute (two-day) countdown. Day 1 strips sprinting/jumping. Day 2 applies Weakness II and audible stomach growls. If both hydration and hunger hit zero, the buffer slashes to 10 minutes.
- Progression Fallback: Introduce the early-game Copper Jug (3 Copper Ingots) with a fragile 16-use durability bar. It transports cold fluids (Water/Milk) holding half a cauldron volume without overfill waste. Scooping Lava inflicts 1-second of Fire Damage and degrades durability 3x faster. Extract Mud Water via Wooden Bowls. Drinking it applies a 5-minute "Infestation" parasite effect draining 50% food saturation (cured via Spider Eyes or Cactus Juice). Milk restores +4 Hunger and +2 Thirst to block automated macros.
WAIVER: I grant Mojang permission to use this without credit.
