Custom Music Artist Selection
Minecraft should add an option in Music & Sounds that lets players choose which composer’s music they want as their background soundtrack. Many players, especially those who grew up with C418, consider his music part of Minecraft’s classic or “legacy” identity.
Players could choose between artists such as C418, Lena Raine, and other Minecraft composers, with their selected artist’s music playing naturally in the background. This could apply to the Overworld, Nether, and other dimensions, using tracks suited to each environment.
For example, with C418 selected, the Overworld could play “Sweden” or “Minecraft,” while the Nether could play “Concrete Halls” or “Dead Voxel.” If the player switched to Lena Raine, her appropriate Overworld and Nether tracks would play instead.
This would only affect background music. Music Discs would remain completely unchanged and would still work independently of the selected artist.
Certain songs could also be exclusive to Creative Mode. For example, if a C418 track is designated as a Creative Mode song, it would only be available while playing Creative. Switching to Creative could therefore add those tracks to the rotation, while switching back to Survival would remove them.
This would give players more control over Minecraft’s atmosphere while preserving every composer’s music and allowing players to recreate the soundtrack experience they enjoy most.
