I suggest adding a new power system called "Voltage" as a counterpart to Redstone.
1. *Transmission*: Instead of redstone dust, we use "Metal Circuits". Different metals conduct voltage differently. Ex: Copper wires, Iron plates, Gold for high efficiency.
2. *Generation*: New block: `Electrical Generator`. It converts Voltage into Redstone signal, and Redstone into Voltage. So it can connect with current redstone builds.
3. *Storage*: New block: `Voltage Battery`. You can store voltage in it. The more you store, the stronger the output power and range.
4. *Risk/Reward*: If you overcharge a battery or generator, it overloads and EXPLODES. So you have to manage it with breakers/fuses. High risk, high reward.
5. *Lightning*: Lightning Rods can collect energy from thunderstorms and convert it into a huge amount of Voltage to store.
*Why*:
Redstone is great but it’s all logic. This would add an engineering/management layer. Players who like Create, Immersive Engineering, etc would love a vanilla version. It also gives a use to lightning rods beyond just protecting bases, and makes copper/gold/iron more useful for circuits.
*Balance*:
Make it expensive and late-game so it doesn’t replace redstone early game. Explosions prevent it from being "place and forget".
