I think the block states that were changed ultimately ruined commands. Granted it seems changing concrete 15 to black_concrete makes sense but for people that are serious about builds, it hinders as much as it helps and then hinders again. For example; if I had multiple commands that I need to paste similar commands and change the block type but keep the number, it makes the transition smooth. Granted it’s not a ton of time saved but it helps when making massive command chains. I think you should have both work simultaneously.
Whether or not that happens, my main issue is this: when we had numbers for block states, we could remove all of that type by omitting the number, now it only removes the default block which is completely useless to anyone since the new system makes you specify the block name. I used to be able to remove every color of concrete, powder, logs, etc, and now I have to have an individual command for each variation. This impedes progress terribly by not having this available anymore. Bring back the wildcard and remove the default state as is and make it for each variant.
