Ways to Lower Prices for Villagers Without a Raid and Infecting Them.

Dear Mojang,

     Hi Mojang! I've always had so much fun in Minecraft, and I love all the game mechanics, but when I find a mending villager, the prices are always super high, and I don't want to lower them by turning the villager into a zombie or starting a raid to torture them. In my mind, I feel like there should be an easier way to lower the prices, the way raids and infecting them and curing them would, without treating them unethically. So, what if you added a feature where you made the prices able to be lower by becoming good trade partners and upgrading the village? Overall, I think that these ideas would make people treat villagers ethically without infecting or torturing them in a raid, which would overall change how people treat villagers.
