With the introduction of the new Mushroom Shelf block, it would be great to see it naturally generate across several existing biomes to enhance atmosphere, exploration, and environmental storytelling. Adding Mushroom Shelves to world generation would make these biomes feel more alive, more fungal, and more visually distinct.
I propose that Mushroom Shelves generate in the following biomes:
Swamp – Shelves could appear on trees, roots, and fallen logs, adding more organic detail to muddy environments.
Old Growth Spruce Taiga – Large ancient trees are perfect hosts for layered fungal shelves, reinforcing the biome’s age and density.
Old Growth Pine Taiga – Similar to spruce taiga, shelves would emphasize the forest’s old, towering trees.
Mushroom Fields – As the home of giant mushrooms, this biome is the most fitting place for abundant shelf formations on mycelium, mushroom stems, and terrain edges.
Nether – Crimson and Warped forests could generate Nether‑themed variants of Mushroom Shelves, adding more fungal diversity and improving vertical decoration.
This update would make the Shelf Mushroom block feel fully integrated into the world, enrich biome identity, and expand environmental storytelling without altering gameplay balance.
