It doesn't look good when after a few hours all the vines are grown out to the floor or the nether roof, all the same length. It's unnatural looking and the only ways to fix it are by placing a barrier under it or freezing the tick rate, which both require commands. All vines should have a randomized maximum growth limit, which would stop it from growing unless bone meal is used on it. This way, they would all stop growing at different lengths to keep a natural look, but could still be grown out more by using bone meal if the player needs more. As for kelp, there needs to be more variation in its maximum height. Again, a randomized growth limit would give it that natural look and make the oceans feel more real, instead of just having really tall kelp.
Also, I have no idea what category to put this in. It's an aesthetic visual change that I think would really improve the feel of the game, but I couldn't find a category for aesthetic/immersion stuff.
