Minecraft Java Edition currently caches only up to 20 server resource pack files. Servers that use multiple modular resource packs may exceed this limit, causing unchanged packs to be downloaded again whenever players restart the game.
Please increase the cache limit to at least 64 files, or allow players to configure the maximum number or total storage size of cached server resource packs. Packs with unchanged UUIDs and SHA-1 hashes should remain cached. This would reduce unnecessary bandwidth usage and significantly improve the multiplayer joining experience.
