Striders were added as ways to traverse lava lakes in the Nether. However, because of the convoluted way to enable players to ride them and their speed, most players just use blocks (given the ease of placing them in front of you on Bedrock and the hardness of netherack). To make striders useful for the player, I suggest increasing their speed
