Suggestion: The Minecraft Bedrock Edition user interface (UI) should be brought closer to the Java Edition UI.
Minecraft has become increasingly similar between the two editions over the years. Many gameplay elements and features are now very similar on both editions. However, the user interfaces can still feel noticeably different.
I would like to see the Bedrock Edition gradually adopt a UI that is as similar as reasonably possible to the Java Edition. This could include:
* a similar main menu and menu structure
* a more consistent inventory and crafting interface
* similar settings and settings categories
* a similar way of displaying worlds and saves
* a more consistent interface for the creative inventory, chat, and other menus
* similar positions and icons for important functions
* an overall more unified Minecraft design across both editions
The Bedrock Edition should of course remain optimized for controllers, touchscreens, and other platforms. The goal is not simply to copy the Java UI exactly, but to make both interfaces as consistent as reasonably possible.
Minecraft is increasingly being experienced as one unified game. A more consistent UI would strengthen this feeling and make switching between Java and Bedrock much more comfortable for players.
Goal: When a player switches from Java to Bedrock or from Bedrock to Java, the user interface should feel as familiar as possible, regardless of the platform on which Minecraft is being played.
