Books in Minecraft could have a customization option using dyes, similar to leather armor and bundles.
Since books have leather covers, it would make sense to allow players to change their color using dyes. The default color would remain the classic brown book, but players could dye them different colors to better organize their libraries, decorate adventure maps, or create collections of stories.
It would not be necessary to add new items to the inventory, since this would only be a visual variation of the existing book. Players would simply use a dye on a book to change its cover color.
Enchanted books could keep their current appearance or, as an alternative, allow small cover color changes while keeping the special enchanted glow effect.
This feature would greatly help players who create libraries, servers, adventure maps, and worlds with custom stories, allowing each book to have its own unique identity.
