The current snapshot cushion works well for sitting, but its zero‑collision selection box could be more user‑friendly. I’d suggest increasing the vertical selection box (right‑click area) by 0.5 pixels – to a total of 4.5 pixels. This small change would greatly expand creative uses.
Currently, to enable players sit on stone bricks, builders have two options:
-
Raise it one block above the brick – looks good when occupied, but the floor protrudes when empty, and the stone bricks lose their original texture, replaced by a soft cushion pattern.
-
Hide it inside the brick – perfect visually, but right‑clicking is tricky because you keep hitting the brick instead.
The half‑pixel fix solves both. With a slightly taller selection box, the cushion can hide inside stairs, beds, trapdoors, or grilles, yet players can still easily right‑click that tiny visible area to sit. This enables fun new scenes like “sitting on brick stairs” or “on a floating log.”
This change is just a numeric parameter tweak – no core logic changes, low cost – but it improves building creativity, interaction smoothness, and versatility. I hope Mojang considers it before release, turning the cushion into truly universal furniture. Thank you!
