Better Bedrock crossplay

So me and my friend tried to play together, them on their switch and me on the Pc just to find out that the 26.34 hotfix was only for Playstation and Switch and that it wouldnt be for the Pc, meaning that there was nothing we could do to play together, despite them just having a slightly different version. It makes no sense separating a portion of the community from playing with their friends because of a single digit, there has to be some sort of fix for this

    Yeah this is horrible. We have a bedrock pc and do crossplay with switch for family fun. This 26.34 update has destroyed it. Any idea when can this be fixed? This is not fair to break crossplay for families who enjoy playing minecraft with each other on different platforms.
