I would like to suggest adding a public community server directory directly inside Minecraft, alongside the existing Marketplace.
This feature could allow approved server owners and creators to publish their servers so that players can discover and join new communities more easily. Servers could be organized by language, game mode, popularity, age rating, and other categories.
This system could provide several benefits:
-
It would help smaller servers and creators become more visible.
-
It would allow talented community members to grow their projects and potentially earn revenue.
-
Minecraft could generate additional income through commissions, promoted listings, subscriptions, Minecoin purchases, or other optional monetization systems.
-
Players would have an easier and safer way to discover new multiplayer experiences directly inside the game.
-
It could encourage creators to build more ambitious minigames, worlds, and communities.
Games and platforms such as Roblox and Fortnite have shown that supporting community-created experiences can benefit both creators and the platform itself.
Of course, servers should be reviewed and required to follow strict rules concerning player safety, moderation, fair monetization, privacy, and age-appropriate content. A rating and reporting system could also help protect players.
I believe an official and carefully moderated server marketplace could strengthen the Minecraft community while creating new opportunities for both Minecraft and its creators.
