What would you like to see added?
Add the ability to tame certain farm animals, such as sheep, cows, pigs, chickens, and goats, turning them into pets in a similar way that wolves and cats can be tamed.
Why would you like to see this added?
Currently, farm animals are mainly used as sources of food and resources such as wool, leather, milk, and eggs. Allowing them to become companions would give them more personality and provide new options for players who enjoy building, decorating, and caring for animals.
Many players become attached to their animals and prefer not to use them only for resources. This feature would support more peaceful and creative playstyles.
How would you like it to work?
Farm animals could become pets through a bonding system rather than simply being fed once.
For example:
- Two animals could be bred normally using their current breeding foods.
- The player could then care for the baby animal while it grows.
- Feeding and interacting with the baby several times would create a bond.
- Once fully grown, the animal would recognize the player as its owner.
After being tamed, farm animal pets could:
- Follow the player.
- Receive names, collars, ribbons, or other decorative accessories.
- Stay in a designated location when instructed.
- Display small unique animations that show personality.
This would not replace existing farming mechanics, but would add a new way to interact with farm animals.
