I propose adding a rare, atmospheric night event called the Aurora Borealis. Every single night, regardless of the biome you are in, there is a tiny 0.5% chance for this event to trigger. When it does, the standard night sky is replaced by waving curtains of green, blue, and purple light that cast a soft glow over the world.
In-Game Boosts and Mechanics:To reward players who stay awake to witness this rare event, the Aurora grants unique global buffs for the duration of the night:Cosmic Fishing Rod Blessing: Any fishing rod held or used during the Aurora night is temporarily blessed with Luck of the Sea II. Additionally, it receives an automatic mending effect, meaning the rod automatically repairs its durability completely for free every time you successfully catch a fish. If the fishing rod already has Luck of the Sea, these levels stack, allowing players to temporarily reach up to Luck of the Sea V! Once the night ends and the Aurora fades, the temporary levels and automatic repair effects disappear from the rod.
Luminous Crop Growth: The cosmic radiation accelerates plant life. Crops, berries, and nether wart grow at triple the normal rate under the open sky.
Charged Enchanting: If an Enchanting Table has an unobstructed view of the sky (meaning only air or glass blocks are directly above it), the experience point cost for all enchants is reduced by 10%.
