Hi everyone! I want to propose a "Ocean Game Drop" concept that builds on Caves & Cliffs but focuses on making old, neglected mechanics relevant again.
1. World Generation
Oceans would get giant trenches and massive cave systems down to Y=-64. These areas would be dark, eerie, and full of dangerous monsters, making exploration a genuine hardcore challenge.
2. Tactical Fish
Fishing in these zones would yield unique fish serving as quick combat aids:
Shield Fish: Grants temporary Absorption to survive heavy deep-sea attacks.
Speed Fish: Provides a swimming speed boost for rapid navigation and escapes.
3. Revitalizing Existing Content (The Main Point)
Instead of mindlessly adding new items, this update gives real value to features players often ignore in the standard overworld:
Potions: In the pitch-black trenches, players would be forced to brew Water Breathing and Night Vision just to survive.
Enchantments: Gear enchants like Respiration, Aqua Affinity, and Depth Strider would suddenly become essential endgame goals.
Instead of adding new things just for the sake of novelty, we should create content that highlights and gives fresh meaning to the features already in the game. What do you think?
