Minecraft Bedrock on Android should include an Import Resource Pack button under Settings → Global Resources.
The button should open Android’s system document picker and allow players to select ".mcpack", ".mcaddon", and correctly structured ".zip" files. Minecraft should validate, install, and extract the selected pack internally instead of depending entirely on Android’s file associations.
On some Android devices, tapping an ".mcpack" reports that no installed application can open the file, even though Minecraft is installed. Modern Android versions also restrict access to Minecraft’s application folders, so manually placing the pack in the resource-pack directory may not be possible.
This is an accessibility issue. Some players need simplified, high-contrast, outlined, colour-adjusted, or otherwise specialised resource packs to see blocks and navigate safely. Suitable packs may not be available or affordable through the Marketplace, so community-created packs are an important accessibility option.
An in-game importer would provide a reliable and accessible installation method without requiring third-party file managers or access to protected Android folders.
