I think that the game drops are killing the game because back then, developers had time to come up with ideas and program the update. Think about the Nether Update, it took months to come out, but then it was a hit. Minecraft hasn’t been the same since 1.16. Now, though, with these frequent drops, every update isn’t memorable. The constant over-updating of the game has made every update practically the same: a new biome, a new mob or two, a new structure (or it's an update where they just change the textures of mobs or blocks). If this keeps up, i think we’ll end up with no more amazing, game-changing updates. I’d much rather wait seven months for an absolutely amazing update than wait two months for a mediocre one.
