[SUMMARY]
The Geode Hermit is a small, neutral crustacean in Amethyst Geodes. Wearing an Amethyst Block shell, it connects cave exploration with resource automation by using sound to speed up amethyst growth.
[APPEARANCE & SPAWN]
* Spawn: Rarely inside Amethyst Geodes in Deepslate layers.
* Visuals: Purple crab with glowing eyes and a shimmering crystal shell.
* Audio: Makes crystal-like tinkling sounds when moving.
[BEHAVIOR & RESONANCE]
* Defense: Hides in its shell if attacked, gaining high armor and reflecting minor damage.
* Music: When a Jukebox plays or a Goat Horn sounds, it vibrates and glows.
* Growth Boost: While dancing, its resonance speeds up the growth of nearby budding amethyst clusters.
[DROPS & UTILITY]
* Molting: Feeding it Glow Berries makes it drop an Amethyst Scale.
* Echoing Lens: Craft with 1 Amethyst Scale, 2 Copper, and 1 Spyglass. When attached to a Spyglass, it reveals outlines of hidden cave openings through walls using safe, visual soundwaves.
[WHY MOJANG SHOULD ADD IT]
It aligns with Mojang’s philosophy of adding non-hostile mobs that interact with audio mechanics. It rewards cave explorers and adds a fun, vanilla-friendly way to automate amethyst farms.
