Okay check this, I know dungeons 2 is otw soon but this idea I have for a new game could be a game changer for the Minecraft franchise. Lets call this project “Minecraft Borderlands”. So most of us has all seen those civilization videos and this game would be inspired by that, with a slight inspiration from the og hunger games mini-games. So down to the nitty-gritty. I can imagine a standalone multiplayer game that has a single large randomly generated map with a setting for biome and team customization. Each team can originate in a specific biome or biomes depending on the border-team generation setting. Meaning that it could be 8 teams with 16 different biomes, and each team would have 2 different biomes in their border area to explore. Players would have a pregame selection setting for a 3day, 5day, 7day and 10day border break [meaning the border disappears and all other biomes and teams would be accessible]. Private customs games can go to 100days. It plays almost the exact same as the vanilla game but lacks the dimensional travel, so it’s useless to try to cross dimensions, unless you’re crossing borders that is. What do I mean? More borderland biomes! The netherlands and the end-void wasteland biome can be compacted within the borders. The netherlands can be generated in the center and the end-void wasteland’s can surround the outside edges of the borders both are inaccessible to all player until the border drops. This should also have proximity and team chat included.
