Enriching the dappled forest by adding some unique features like sap etc.

Sap would naturally spawn on dappled trees and can be harvested by using an empty bottle which could be smelted/boiled in a furnace to give maple syrup.Mobs such as porcupines or squirrels could eat the sap on the tree trunks,another use for the porcupine is if you get too close to one it may shoot u with quills and they would shed quills with time which could be used to make spiky armor and could shoot any hostile mob in the vicinity.As for the squirrels which would go up into trees and store nuts in their cheeks,to tame squirrels you must feed them with seeds and if you do manage to tame them they could sit on yourself and would work similarly to wolves by attacking any mob it would start throwing nuts at the mob which would do a decent amount of damage,but if they run out of nuts stored in their cheeks they could simply resort to pouncing on the enemy and nibbling on them with their teeth.
