Since the forced introduction of the Render Dragon engine, Minecraft Bedrock Edition has severe performance issues on many mobile devices.
The Problem: The current Vulkan integration is poorly optimized and not fully compatible with all smartphone chipsets. On mid-range and budget devices, the game causes severe overheating, massive frame drops, and even sudden phone reboots due to high hardware stress. Previously, under OpenGL ES, if the game overloaded, it would simply close the world safely instead of forcing a full system restart.
The Solution: We request Mojang to give players a graphics API choice in the settings (just like Java Edition does), allowing us to switch between OpenGL ES and Vulkan based on our phone's capabilities. Additionally, Render Dragon needs a massive optimization pass for mobile devices to prevent device overheating and reboots.
Please give mobile players the optimization and choices they deserve!
