Compatibility Between Custom Skins and Marketplace Character Creator Items
Please consider adding compatibility between custom imported skins and Marketplace Character Creator items in Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
Currently, players must choose between using a custom skin or Character Creator cosmetics. This prevents players from enjoying hats, backpacks, wings, masks, glasses, shoes, and other Marketplace items while using their favorite custom skin.
Allowing Character Creator items to be equipped on standard custom skins (such as Steve and Alex models) would greatly improve customization while respecting existing safety and moderation systems.
This feature would:
-
Give players more freedom to customize their characters.
-
Increase the value of Marketplace purchases.
-
Encourage more players to buy cosmetic items.
-
Improve the overall customization experience.
-
Combine two great systems that currently cannot be used together.
Many Bedrock players use custom skins because they better represent their identity, but they also want to use the official cosmetics they have purchased or unlocked. These systems should work together instead of forcing players to choose one or the other.
This has been a long-requested feature from the community and would make Minecraft Bedrock's character customization more flexible, modern, and enjoyable for everyone.
