I really think the games immersion would benefit from dynamic and realistic audio. Caving for example would be a totally different experience. Especially in a multiplayer game like Minecraft thats often played with one or more people.
Prox chat on large servers would be a lot of fun too.
Now with skulk sound mechanics I think a realistic spatial audio system could make such ingame mechanics even more intuitive!
Just like shaders I think dynamic audio is the next layer to modernize the game without fundamentally altering its identity.
