There should be a new option in Java that allows transparency on Minecraft skin. I’d imagine it would be in the skin settings tab with the option to turn it on or off.
This would be good for skins that have certain pixels set as transparent, and if playing a game with others you can turn transparency off so you can see someone who might be using a fully transparent skin to cheat.
As someone who has a skin that has transparent parts, it is somewhat bothersome to play Java knowing the part that are meant to be hidden are just blacked out instead, so this would be a good option.
This feature could also be added to bedrock if needed, since I would assume there’s people who use invisible skins on there too.
