A coast-themed drop could make beaches and oceans feel more alive. It could add palm trees with palm wood, coconuts, coastal grass, small beach stones, starfish, sea urchins, crabs, and seagulls.
Crabs could drop crab claws, an off-hand item that increases building reach and slightly improves ranged play with bows, crossbows, or tridents, creating a fair trade-off against shields or totems.
This drop could also add aquamarine dye, obtained from a new marine plant found in the ocean. It would give builders a new soft blue-green color for blocks like wool, glass, concrete, terracotta, candles, banners, beds, and shulker boxes.
Seagulls could have a distraction mechanic. If the player drops food, rotten flesh, or a spider eye near hostile mobs like Drowned or Pillagers, nearby seagulls would gather and fight over the item, distracting enemies for a few seconds. This would give players a creative way to sneak past danger, escape, or loot coastal ruins and shipwrecks without always needing direct combat.
Starfish and sea urchins could also appear on beaches, shallow waters, and coral reefs as small decorative marine creatures. Starfish could have different color variations, giving builders more colorful ocean decorations, while sea urchins could add detail to reefs and maybe act as a small natural hazard when touched.
Aquamarine flowers could grow in coral reefs and be used to craft aquamarine dye.
